Harry Zhang

Biography

Harry Zhang completed his Juris Doctor degree at Thompson Rivers University in 2025, and joined ATA Law as an articling student immediately after graduation. Prior to law school, Harry studied at University of Toronto (St. George campus, Victoria in College) majoring in sociology, and subsequently worked as a licensed immigration consultant and education consulting assistant, in which he honed his policy interpretation ability and organizational skills.  

Harry has been interested in law since he was very young.  Having an acquisitive mind, he enjoyed looking up legal provisions on various issues in different jurisdictions. Harry is also interested in and sensitive to people, society, and culture, and has extensive cross-cultural experience. This helps him to understand the perspectives and work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds going through a legal battle.  Harry speaks fluent Mandarin in addition to English, and has learned Spanish. Harry believes in taking a rational and pragmatic approach to law that accounts for complex situations on the ground and puts people at the centre.

In Harry’s spare time, he enjoys recreational activities that involve deeply connecting with other people and nature, such as folk dancing and cycling.
