How does ATA Law bill clients for its legal services ?
We have a flat fee for most of solicitor’s work like purchasing a home or drafting a will. However, for disputes resolution, we charge clients based on time we have spent on the case at the responsible lawyer’s hourly rate
Does ATA Law provide complimentary initial consultation?
Unfortunately, our initial consultation is not complimentary. Due to volumes of phone calls and email inquiries we receive from our prospective clients, we do charge our clients for initial consultation, which is at a rate usually lower than the consulting lawyer’s actual rate for half an hour. However, for complex cases or cases involving our review of certain legal documents, we can only give minimum one hour consultation at the consulting lawyer’s actual hourly rate plus tax.
What is the best way to contact your law firm?
Our firm is conveniently accessible by phone, email or fax and we can also be contacted by Wechat, Line or Skype if the clients have a particular request.
If I want an initial consultation, what will be the process like?
You can contact us first so that our staff will send you a client intake form for you to fill up. Once we receive your intake form, we will conduct a conflict check to ensure there are no conflicts before we can give you any preliminary advice. We will be able to schedule you an appointment once the conflict check is completed.
Do I have to pay an upfront retainer when I engage ATA Law for certain legal services?
Yes, we request an initial retainer before we can start working on your file unless the matter is extremely simple, which can be completed within fairly short period of time.
